Hi, I'm Ed Sharp, lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
After a forty-plus years career spanning senior roles at major international advertising agencies, running my own entertainment-marketing agency, being part of a successful tech start-up and latterly working at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, I am now practicing as an executive coach.
I am currently studying at Henley Business School and aim to have my International Coaching Federation (ICF) accreditation later in 2025.
My particular coaching interest is in working with people 45+. My experience is that many people aged 45 plus can find themselves either; looking to leave the corporate, salaried world but are not sure what to do next, or perhaps they have been made redundant and are anxious as to whether they will be able to find another salaried job to pay the mortgage.
Facing this sudden uncertainty in your late forties, fifties and sixties can come as a big shock to people who up until this moment have had highly successful careers, and I work with my clients to help them rediscover their confidence, creativity and optimism as they explore this next stage of their working lives.
If this description resonates with you, please get in touch to discuss how some coaching might help you move forward.
Next steps...
We would start with a free 30 minute chat about your current situation, how coaching might help and whether I am the right coach to help you move forward.
If that’s the case, we would then agree to a number of coaching sessions over a period of time.If you are interested, please use the Calendly app to book this first appointment.

I'm Ed Sharp, a life stage coach.
After a 40+ year career that’s taken me from senior roles in international advertising agencies to founding my own entertainment-marketing business, being part of a successful tech start-up, and most recently working at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, I now practise as a life-stage coach.
My focus is on coaching people aged 50 and over. Why? Because I’ve seen - and experienced - how many of us at this stage of life can feel uncertain about what comes next. You may be ready to leave the corporate world, but unsure how to start something new. Would a portfolio career make sense? What even is a “fractional” role? Or perhaps you’ve been made redundant and are wondering if you’ll find another salaried job to pay the mortgage.
And career transitions rarely happen in isolation. This stage of life often comes with profound personal changes - losing a parent, becoming a grandparent, or taking on caring responsibilities. It can be a shock, especially for those who’ve had successful, stable careers until now.
Psychologists such as Daniel Levinson have studied adult life stages and described a distinct transition from “middle adulthood” to “late adulthood” that typically begins around age 50. While well recognised in research, this transition isn’t often spoken about by those living through it.
That’s where coaching can help. I work with clients to help them regain confidence, unlock creativity, and rediscover a sense of possibility as they shape the next chapter of their lives.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to have a conversation about how coaching could support your journey forward. Get in touch.
